# Andrew Neumann

> Short fragments and longer essays by Andrew Neumann, written in a notes app on a phone and published as a self-hosted static site.

This site publishes in two registers. **Thinking out loud** is short — a paragraph or
three, published when the thought arrives rather than when it is finished. **Essays**
are longer pieces that have had time to settle. Both appear in one feed, newest first,
because they are the same person thinking at different lengths.

There is no CMS, no database and no comment system. Pages are static HTML with the
stylesheet inlined, so a reader waits for one request. The only scripts are a light/dark
toggle of roughly 300 bytes and a self-hosted Matomo counting visits, with cookies
disabled and Do Not Track honoured.
